Instagram TV allows you to share videos longer than 60 seconds on Instagram and can be a great way for you to promote your business. According to Social Media Today, it is speculated that Instagram will be dedicating more resources and screen space to IGTV in 2020, so now is a great time to start testing it out!

Posting is simple

On the app, tap the icon in the top right corner, then the plus sign and add a video between one and 60 minutes. Instagram has also added the ability to add an IGTV video on desktop, navigate to your profile, go to the IGTV tab and click upload. The platform is also well suited for vertical videos – perfect for easy filming on your phone.

Share content that shows your expertise

IGTV is a great way to genuinely connect with your audiences with more in-depth content. Neighborhood tours, how-to videos (such as staging a home or packing tips) and virtual open houses are all easy ways to display your knowledge and expertise.

Remember to choose a good cover photo and click the ‘share to Facebook’ toggle button. Share the IGTV video to your stories or vice versa. In your IGTV video, direct people to an interactive poll or questionnaire.
